Every study program has different requirements. For Plovdiv Medical University all applicants must be prepared in biology, chemistry, and english since the entrance exam is on english language. The level of all prepared subjects should be equivalent to A levels program subjects.
All applicants must pass through several steps to get a university spot in Bulgaria. Usually need to prepare a set of application documents and submit them to the university as well as prepare for the entrance test.
Yes, sure you can! We advise you  to apply as soon as possible so you can start collecting and prepare most of the documents. Most of the documents need translation and legalization. Later you will have more time to focus on the remaining documents. However, in order to be accepted by the university and sit on the entrance exam you must have collected all of the needed documents.  
Yes, you must pass the exam in order to make it to the medical university. Usually successful university admission depends on your exam grade. We provide you with study materials, mock exams, and sample tests for the entrance exam so you can be fully prepared and succeed. 
The academic year for freshmen usually starts in the beginning of October. However, for the second to the sixth year the academic year starts in the middle of September. The winter semester is from September/October till December, the winter semester exams take place in January. The summer semester starts after the first week of February and finishes at the end of May. Exam session for summer semester takes place in the beginning of June till the middle of July.  
The duration of the course depends on the study program of your choice.

  • Dentistry in English (Master’s degree) 5.5 years (11 semestres)
  • Pharmacy in English (Master’s degree) 5 years (10 semesters)
The annual tuition fees range depending on the studying program

  • Medicine in English- first year 9000 euros/ second to sixth  year 8000 euros
  • Dental Medicine in English- first year 9000 euros/ second to sixth  year 8000 euros
  • Pharmacy in English- 6000 euros/year
Bulgaria is considered one of the most affordable countries to live in compared to the European standards. Monthly expenses including rent, bills and food depend on the city you live in. On average students spend between 600-1000 per month.

It is possible to get a refund from our services. The refund policy is included in the agreement you sign with Compass Studies in Bulgaria, so you will be able to read and agree to it before you officially start the application. 
If your home country is in the European Union then you can live and study in Bulgaria without the need of a VISA card. Some countries have a special bi-lateral agreement with Bulgaria, BUT most non-EU candidates are required to apply for a student’s VISA type D.All foreign students are obligated to apply for a residence permit after moving to Bulgaria. 
There are Bulgarian universities that offer scholarships. Specifically, Plovdiv Medical University offers a rector’s award depending on the academic performance of the students. An excellent average grade of 5.5 and above should be achieved to receive the award. 
Yes, they are. Bulgaria is a member of the European Union so after graduation you can work and study abroad.
